Dear, God.  The Rain Man was a monster before drugs and child support took over his life.  The best is when he dunks on Gatling and proceeds to dap up his victim.  Blake hasn’t reached this level of nasty yet.

  3. givemeindiana asked: I did not know you and the lady where pregnant. Congrats, and buy everything you can now because soon enough all of your money will go to the critter you two are growning.

We just found out for sure on Wednesday. Still super early on (about 8 weeks), but here’s hoping. Right now, we’re looking into finding a house as we just renewed our lease on the one bedroom downtown apartment we’re living in, which obviously isn’t going to fly.

PS Suggested she join tumblr. after I saw your wife started one.

  5. sylvysparrow asked: Aw...yeah, I haven't seen them either...they haven't been to Central Florida (aka where I am now too) in a while and I grew up in Miami (aka it's even worse being all the way down there) so I know how that goes :/

Unless you’re into techno music, in which case Miami is the place to be.

  6. sylvysparrow asked: same here, they don't put out a single song that isn't excellent.

have you ever seen a show of theirs?

Actually no. I’m not a big fan of festival shows and that was all they were doing while I was living outside of Philadelphia and now I’m in central Florida, where most bands skip right over, if they even hit the state at all. If you have, consider me jealous.

  7. Indochino Step Above 3 Piece Tweed Suit, Blue Biased Cut Shirt, Merlot Allen-Edmonds Park Avenues (Vibram Sole), Navy tie, Nikon D50 infrared remote.

Took these myself on a tripod. Slight shadow blur b/c exposure time was longer than I realized and I didn’t stay completely still. Apologies.

A picture began circulating in November. It should be “The Picture of the Year,”… or perhaps, “Picture of the Decade.” It won’t be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the U.S. paper which published it, you probably would never have seen it.The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother’s womb. Little Samuel’s mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta. She knew of Dr. Bruner’s remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb.During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr. Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon’s finger. Dr. Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile. The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity. The editorstitled the picture, “Hand of Hope.” The text explaining the picture begins, “The tiny hand of 21-week-old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother’s uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life.”Little Samuel’s mother said they “wept for days” when they saw the picture. Shesaid, “The photo reminds us pregnancy isn’t about disability or an illness, it’s about a little person” Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful.

3rd time to reblog… I love this picture. it’s beautiful in it’s own way. :)

This is truly remarkable. It makes me so happy to see this and then know that I’m going to the March for Life on the Mall in Washington, DC in a couple of weeks. Moments like this help change your outlook on life.

Twenty something lawyer, still looking for the perfect job. Engaged and expecting my first child come September.

When I'm not busy with my career search, I spend the little free time I have keeping up with technology, style, pop culture, and all things consumer law. I've also started relearning French so I can teach the baby. Any tips, language-wise or parenting-wise, would be much appreciated.

I plan on using this space to write about the many random things I find interesting.
